Grace Temple Baptist Church Ministries

ADMINISTRATION MINISTRY
This ministry is responsible for the day to day administrative functions of the church's front office affairs as well as general administrative support to each of the ministries.

AUDIO/VISUAL MINISTRY
Providing sound and recording support is no easy task. This ministry provides audio and video support through microphones, recording and video set-up to ensure God's Word can be heard through Preaching and Teaching. 

BENEVOLENCE MINISTRY
The Benevolence Ministry exists as an emergency aid to an individual or family who may have experienced an unforeseen emergency hardship.

BIBLICAL COUNSELING MINISTRY
This ministry focuses on those who may need Godly counsel by qualified biblical counselor's to help deal with a dilemma or problem. Counseling sessions are always dealt with in a confidential manner.

BLACK HISTORY MINISTRY
Celebrating and preserving the achievements and accomplishments of a very rich heritage while showcasing the contributions of those continuing to stand on the shoulders of others who made lasting contributions.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH MINISTRY
This ministry is dedicated to the biblical education of our youngest treasures. Lessons and activities are conducive with the age of the children.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH MINISTRY
Community Outreach is all about putting God's Word into action while serving those who may be homeless, disadvantaged or in need. This ministry is about serving the least of those.

COMPUTER MINISTRY
Being in the age of technology, this ministry exists to provide general support and education in the use of computers to include how to create documents, emails and internet usage.

CONFIRMATION COUNSELING MINISTRY
This ministry confirms the very personal decision a believer made to accept Jesus in their heart ensuring the free gift of eternal life.

DEACONS MINISTRY
This ministry comprises men and women set aside and appointed to serve the fellowship through tending to the needs of our members while promoting spiritual harmony.

DEPARTMENT OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Overseeing the Church's teaching ministries to ensure instruction lines up with God's Word and Doctrine while teachers are trained and certified to teach in the responsibility of this ministry.

EMPOWERMENT HOUR
Teaching and instructing God's Word is the very key to the growth of the Christian. This ministry is responsible to teach God's Word using various theological methods.

EVANGELISM MINISTRY
The purpose of this ministry is to take God's Word into the community. Sharing God's Word with those outside the church in hopes of leading the lost to Jesus Christ.

FLORAL MINISTRY
This ministry ensures that the church and church grounds are beautified with fresh flowers and other floral arrangements. This ministry also supports other church events.

FOLLOW-UP MINISTRY
Ensuring that our visitors are acknowledged after their visit as well as ensuring that our college students and military members stay connected with the church is the purpose of this ministry.

FOREIGN MISSIONS MINISTRY
The Foreign Missions Ministry exists to support those missionaries that are serving abroad sharing God's Word. This ministry also supports our sister church; Grace Temple Baptist Church of the Philippians.

GOD'S MIGHTY MEN'S MINISTRY
God's Mighty Men's Ministry is a ministry that spiritually educates and sharpens the man to be what God intends the man to be.

GRACE TEMPLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
The Grace Temple CDC operates as an independent 501(c)3 corporation meeting the faith based needs of a growing community.

GREETERS MINISTRY
The purpose of the Greeters Ministry is to greet each person entering Grace Temple Baptist Church in a warm and inviting manner.

HEALTHCARE MINISTRY
The Healthcare Ministry exists to bring about health issues and awareness to the fellowship. This ministry also provides nurse support for Worship and Home-going services.

HOME MISSIONS MINISTRY
The Home Missions Ministry provides support for bereaved families, local food banks, soup kitchens and seniors at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
This ministry is responsible for providing culinary support to the church's flagship events throughout the year. 

LIVING ROOM CAFE MINISTRY
The Living Room Café Ministry provides opportunities for members within the age group of 18-45 to fellowship and worship God through music, dance or spoken word. 

MARKETPLACE MINISTRY
The Marketplace Ministry provides the small business owner or perspective small business owner tips and advice on setting up and running a business. It also provides a place to search for existing businesses that the fellowship can call on should a need arise.

MINISTRY OF THE ARTS
Under this umbrella ministry, several ministries exist to glorify God through artistic expression. These ministries are;

NEW MEMBERS MINISTRY
This purpose of this ministry is to teach the church's newest members a series of classes to set the foundation and frame that the church was built on. 

NEWSLETTER MINISTRY
The Newsletter Ministry exists to chronicle the happenings of the fellowship in a printed format.

NXT STEP YOUTH MINISTRY
This group of dynamic young men and women endeavor to bring children closer to Christ through prayer, ministry and fellowship.
 
PRISON MINISTRY
Transitioning from incarceration into society can be a daunting task. The Prison Ministry is there to evangelize and assist those who are incarcerated.

PUBLIC RELATIONS MINISTRY
The Public Relations Ministry serves as the churches outside voice, promoting the upcoming events to the public media and community.

SCHOLARSHIP MINISTRY
Ensuring that our youth have a contributing means for continuing their education is the purpose of the Scholarship Ministry.

SENIORS MINISTRY
The Seniors Ministry gives our Seniors a place to come together for activities, fellowship and sharing God's Word.

STEWARDS MINISTRY
The Stewards Ministry is responsible for ensuring the church operates in a safe, secure and compliant manner. This ministry oversees the church's property and finances.

TAPESTRY WOMEN'S MINISTRY
This ministry exists to meeting the spiritual holistic needs of the women. This is done through bible study, activities and fellowship geared towards a woman's needs.

TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY
Transporting our members to hear God's Word is the purpose of the Transportation Ministry. Transportation is provided free of charge.

USHERS MINISTRY
Door keepers in the House of the Lord best describe this ministry. Ushers ensure that the congregants are seated comfortably and the climate in the sanctuary is conducive to Praise and Worship.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
The purpose of Vacation Bible School is to provide biblical instruction in a fun environment during summertime.
